I scanned a bottle of wine, then tried to manually populate the field for Grape and Percentage of contents. I type in the name of a grape ("Jacquère") into the "Grape" field, but then the UI changes to a dropdown on the left (populated with zero items), and the label with the grap name disappears from the field on the right (also empty).
What did you expect to happen?
To be able to add a new grape type, which would then be available in the dropdown selection for % contents.
Steps to reproduce
Open Ditto
Navigate to a scanned bottle of wine
Scroll down to "Grape"
Try to enter a type of grape

Fixed; it goes live with the next deploy, and I will assign this back to you to confirm once it is.
Cause: while a change was saving, the grapes editor redrew from the last saved copy of the item, which did not have your new grape yet, so the name disappeared until the save came back. A new row also had no % box, and editing a % saved on every keystroke and snapped back.
Fix: the editor now keeps what you type until you leave the field, then saves the whole list at once. Every row has a grape box and a % box. A grape that is not on the list (like Jacquère) is kept exactly as typed, accent included; one that matches a list entry apart from case or accents uses the list spelling.

@tcurtiss this is now live in Ditto v0.13.40. Could you give it a try and close the issue if it works for you (or tell us what is still off)?
